  Rustic Caravan Park is Rustic. Spent the weekend there with some friends. John the owner was very friendly. The fees are appropriate for what you get. It was lovely and quiet, amenities block was very clean and had wheelchair accessible shower & toilet. Showers are $2 honesty system. Camp is dog friendly Fire places are provided. There is a camp kitchen and a room adjoining that is currently being transformed into a games room. A short walk thru national park to get to lake. A short drive to Bendalong Beach, where you can feed the stingrays, swim & fish. Even though it was drizzling rain all weekend we enjoyed our stay. I was told it gets very busy over Easter weekend as there is usually a band or solo artists performing there. All in all if your looking for bush camping and don't need to stay in a flash resort style camping ground this is the place for you.

  I have been to Rustic Caravan and Camping Ground 3 times now. The first 2 experiences were about 2 years ago and the experience was beautifully reflective of the name. Rustic! It was run by a very friendly and happy elderly mother and her son. It was a first in best dressed scenario where you could camp anywhere you like on the grounds, be close to nature and enjoy the peace and quiet it brings, be joined by your pooch and enjoy basic yet clean amenities.

  This past weekend was a huge let down. I am sad to say I will never return to Rustic and hope to find another place that is similar to what Rustic used to represent. This visit there were perimeters that camping was no longer allowed making the space tight, the amenities block was dark and filthy with bins over flowing and mud everywhere, there was no drinking water available. Though I am completely open to people having a good time there seemed to be no consideration to those paying to camp with some allowing their kids to ride their 4 wheeler bike and dirt bikes ALL day around our tents and men chainsawing wood for hours. Worst of all there was a friend of the owner that had set up his mic and amp in the community room about 7pm. We were on the other side of the park and didn't mind listening to the tunes for a couple of hours but it continued to get louder into the night and more out of tune the more he drank. We certainly could not sleep and I could hear other campers trying to settle their crying children and dogs. The owner had been sitting their drinking since early afternoon so he wasn't up for monitoring the situation. The music wrapped up around 2am but the locals kept going for hours after that. We came to connect back with nature and enjoy the peace and quiet. This time it was awful.

  Loved Rustic Caravan Park!!. Amenities, Bqq and gaming lounge. John the owner had a quiet beer with everyone while a pig was sitting on the spit for all to enjoy. Music and a meal all for free. Thanks John, Me and Tash had a great experience..... will be here again!!!
